The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Inside Sales Manager to join us in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring your team achieves their sales goals in your territory by uncovering, nurturing, progressing, and closing new sales opportunities for our entire product portfolio. You'll recruit, train, develop, and retain the Inside Sales teams that support our Channel and Enterprise teams, while coaching and motivating them. You will also deliver quarterly sales forecasts and provide senior management with regular reports on activity, projections, and performance, as well as introduce new ideas to help increase lead generation, run campaigns, and improve tools and processes to ensure your team is successful. As an Inside Sales Manager, you'll guide the development of a sales-driven culture with a constant focus on making inside sales a visible success. We'll need you to have excellent teamwork skills.
Primary job responsibilities
Run cadence reviews with the sales representatives on your team while inspecting deals in the pipeline and forecasting for a high degree of accuracy
Help progress stalled opportunities and field escalations, working both internally and externally toward a quick and fair resolution for all parties
Identify gaps in your team's talent and coach team members to eliminate them
Develop career paths for your team and help them track toward their professional goals
Apply and track appropriate sales metrics for your team and regularly report to senior management
Manage forecasts and track customer opportunities using company standard CRM tools
Continuously develop creative ways to help your team improve productivity and cooperate with various internal stakeholders to put desired changes into effect
Collaborate with peers from Sales and Marketing teams to help your team run programs and campaigns to increase bookings
Help increase the opportunity entering the pipeline and and how fast they reach closure
Participate in internal sales training and certification programs to maintain a high knowledge and proficiency in Red Hat offerings and industry trends
10+ years of experience carrying and meeting a sales quota
8+ years of inside sales experience with sales management experience including 4+ years of experience successfully managing a team of inside sales representatives
Demonstrated success in consistently managing sales teams to achieve goals
Ability to frequently interact with cross-functional teams, customers, and peer managers
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a high attention to detail
Good organizational skills with the ability to learn things quickly and adapt to changing situations
Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, understandable terms
Experience selling highly technical solutions and a knowledge of the complete sales cycle, from prospecting to closing
