Job summary

Help support the Red Hat Academy program. The Red Hat Global Learning Services (GLS) team is looking for a Project Manager to join us in Bangalore, India. In this role, you’ll support, track, and coordinate cross-functional projects that are global and diverse in nature. You'll support our regional teams, helping them meet their objectives, recommending opportunities to grow the Red Hat Academy program, proposing improvements to the existing operational processes, and ensuring that we deliver a high-quality academic program.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Assist Red Hat Academy's global program owner and project manager in achieving program goals

  • Coordinate projects effectively, including tracking and monitoring project progress

  • Actively support diverse projects from initiation to successful completion with minimal supervision, using various project management tools

  • Make continuous performance improvements to ensure better quality, increased efficiencies, and better user experience

  • Track consumption and quality of the Red Hat Academy program

  • Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to each project

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity, bringing distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget

  • Propose guidelines and processes to prevent abuse of program benefits

  • Define, develop, generate, maintain, and report metrics that measure the success of the Red Hat Academy program both qualitatively and quantitatively

  • Moderate Red Hat Learning community and respond to questions related to Red Hat Academy

  • Ensure adherence to legally binding requirements

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or in an equivalent field of study

  • Understanding of basic project management fundamentals

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills

  • Ability to work globally outside normal business hours

  • 7+ years of work experience with at least 3+ years of experience working as a project coordinator

  • Experience working as a program coordinator in an IT academy program offered by a software or technology vendor is a plus

  • Experience with education-based projects; experience with the management of IT academy program projects is a plus

  • Ability to coordinate internal and external teams to create business plans

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills

  • Willingness to take ownership of issues and proceed with problem resolutions by ensuring systematic and timely risk and issue tracking, appropriate escalations and follow-ups, and regular status reporting

  • Ability to interact with senior Red Hat, vendor, and partner management at all levels

  • Experience establishing and contributing to process improvements

  • Experience dealing with complex projects and working with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams

  • Ability to work effectively across a widely diverse management team and a broad spectrum of internal and external partners

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
