Job summary

The Red Hat Middleware team is looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager to join us in Boston, MA. In this role, you will guide the Product Marketing team for our diverse and growing portfolio of application middleware. You'll work closely with the engineering, product management, and product marketing teams, as well as our technical field teams and consultants. As a Technical Product Marketing Manager, you will also be in charge of the development of a compelling evangelism plan to create success within the global developer community.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to understand and provide feedback on features and solutions

  • Ensure that marketing plans align with market directions and support roadmaps for and releases of our offerings including field enablement

  • Participate in technical aspects of go-to-market (GTM) engagements like roadshows, workshops, webinars, solutions demos, and industry and partner events

  • Support engagements where required in high-touch accounts worldwide by collaborating with field sales and services teams

  • Jointly create technical marketing collateral with field marketing teams, including technical presentations, whitepapers, and case studies

  • Support various awareness and demand generation activities blogs, demos, and videos

  • Create and carry out solutions demos for external audiences

  • Guide our technical expertise and vision

  • Work with alliance and ecosystem partners to develop joint value propositions

  • Collaborate with other teams to create technical marketing proof points specific to performance benchmarks and reference architectures

Required skills

  • 7-10+ years of software industry experience, preferably in areas of software development like application architecture, API design, application and data integration, or continuous release processes

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science; advanced degree is a plus

  • Familiarity with and participation in relevant industry bodies

  • Domain knowledge of and experience with open source projects

  • Record of success in a fast-moving, technical environment

  • Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Technical knowledge and the ability to explain customer requirements and use cases to engineering teams

  • Core Java development understanding

  • Good knowledge of modern development architectures and processes like microservices, DevOps, etc.

  • Experience with integration platforms like iPaaS, ESBs, messaging, and data integration

  • Experience with API management; experience with B2B integration is a plus

  • Experience with integration frameworks like Apache Camel, Apache ActiveMQ, or Spring Integration is a plus
