Job summary

The Red Hat User Experience Design (UXD) team is looking for UX Writing and Communication Intern to join our growing team in Boston, MA. In this role, you will work as an advocate for product design and UX at Red Hat, helping to build out writing standards to support our growing content strategy practice. You’ll also help coordinate the outward presence of our organization via social media strategy, executive and customer-facing presentations, and our online presence.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Contribute to our growing set of UX content standards for the PatternFly design system to help us establish a unified voice across offerings and platforms

  • Work with UXD associates to identify, research, write, and post blogs to help tell the UXD story on Red Hat’s blog

  • Help to establish and carry out on a social media strategy for the UXD team

  • Work with UXD associates and leadership to update our online presence

Required skills

  • Progressing toward a graduate degree in communications, English, human computer interaction, or a related discipline

  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and writing skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work on your own

Experience with the following will be considered a plus:

  • Agile development

  • Open source projects

  • Design systems
