The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for an OpenShift Consultant to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you’ll help a wider range of enterprise organizations as part of their digital transformation journeys. As part of that Red Hat Consulting we’re developing a Delivery Excellence Centre (DEC), where we can bring the latest technology and development approaches to organization quickly and effectively. You should have good technical and business skills and be able to work with customers and Red Hat's account teams to tackle large problems.
Primary job responsibilities
Work within a team of consultants to tackle a range of technical problems
Develop, manage, and deliver solutions to customers as part of billable consulting projects, especially in emerging technology areas like Red Hat OpenShift
Communicate with customer teams directly, understand requirements, and work together to build solutions
Solve problems, through development and requirements analysis
Work well as part of a fast-paced team, both within the DEC and with the regional consulting teams
3+ years of experience in enterprise technology, e.g., infrastructure software, operating systems, security, cloud infrastructure and management, middleware application software, system integration, or application development
Knowledge of OpenShift or other Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) products
Familiarity with DevOps and Agile tools and techniques
Continuous integration (CI) and development (CD) pipeline deployment in various environments
Experience working in technical teams with good technical understanding
Understanding of the core elements of application migration and infrastructure setup and datacentre migration, Cloud practices and open source emerging technologies, and everything-as-code
Practical, pragmatic approach to problem solving and business growth, while evaluating and improving our service offerings
Good communication and technical skills that enable customer relationship development at engineering, commercial, and executive levels
Ability to understand customer business challenges and map these to technology solutions requirements
Ability to produce a narrative for customers around infrastructure and application migration that meet business objectives and lead digital transformation discussions within the existing frameworks positioned by Red Hat business units and engineering
Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites for engagements
