About the job
The Red Hat Insights Engineering team is looking for a Associate Software Engineer to join us ideally in Brno or remote in the Czech Republic. In this role, you will help design, implement, deploy and maintain aContent Managed Service (https://console.redhat.com/insights/content/repositories) . You should be comfortable working with Go and JavaScript-based web applications. You will also use agile methodology for project management, so knowledge of agile development tooling with an emphasis on test-driven development is an advantage.

What you will do
Contribute features and bug fixes, as a full-stack engineer, to Managed Services at console.redhat.com with an initial focus towards an RPM Content Service
Ensure that there are tests for software that you create and that documentation is correct
Collaborate across time zones and geolocations with cross-functional teams, such as other engineering teams, product management, UX, and quality engineering
Demonstrate contributions to stakeholders and community
Break down features into smaller pieces of work
Work with a global team based primarily in Raleigh, USA, and Brno, Czechia
What you will bring
Experience with software development in any programming language
Basic experience with GitLab or GitHub
Basic experience working within a Linux development environment
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
The following are considered a plus:
Software development experience using Agile methodologies and tools, such as Jira
Experience with Golang programming language
Experience with Javascript and some frontend development frameworks such as ReactJS
Knowledge of microservices architecture and concepts
Experience with container-related technologies like Kubernetes and OpenShift
Open source development experience
