The Red Hat System Operations team is looking for a System Administrator to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will work as part of a larger global team. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to develop, deliver, and maintain infrastructure and services, including Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), that lead to the creation of Red Hat's innovative open source software. You'll assist product development teams in becoming more efficient at each available opportunity. As a System Administrator, you will work closely with engineering teams to help ensure that Red Hat's solutions reach market in a timely fashion at an outstanding level of quality. You'll need to use your passion and expertise in helping Red Hat continue to create high-quality open source software.
Primary job responsibilities
Maintain datacenter environmental, disaster recovery, monitoring, and alerting systems
Monitor systems and offerings on a daily basis to ensure that systems are performing as expected
Investigate, communicate, and troubleshoot escalated issues coming from the users
Collaborate with team members to determine the root cause of problems and the best course of action to resolve the problems
Document internal processes and procedures related to system administration
Experience working in system administration
Solid experience with UNIX or Linux; Linux certifications are a plus
Experience with cloud computing; Red Hat OpenStack Platform or Red Hat OpenShift are a plus
Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation and automated system and application deployment
Knowledge of Git, GitHub, and GitLab and other version control expertise
Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required
Ability to effectively prioritize and carry out tasks with alignment to actual demands
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
