The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an experienced presales professional to join us as a Senior Solutions Architect in Copenhagen, Denmark. In this role, you will discover and analyze our customers' business and technical needs and collaborate with the sales and technical delivery teams to help customers invest wisely in the best solutions from across the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Virtualization, and Hybrid Cloud Management solutions to allow their systems to run faster and more efficiently. You'll need to have excellent communication and people skills, as you'll be a crucial part of the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will also need to have a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source, and thorough understanding of business processes.
Primary job responsibilities
Collaborate with the sales and technical delivery teams to bring our customers the best solutions from across Red Hat's cloud infrastructure solutions portfolio including, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat OpenShift, Ansible by Red Hat, Red Hat CloudForms, and Red Hat Identity Management
Discover and analyze customer business and technical problems and suggest the appropriate Red Hat's solutions that meet their needs
Provide presales technical support for the development and implementation of complex offerings and solutions
Use your deep knowledge of our offerings to provide technical expertise to sales associates and customers through sales presentations and demonstrations of our offerings; prepare detailed proposals for our offerings
Develop relationships with key customers
Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data
Run and support technical enablement events
Arrange and undertake speaking engagements at industry conferences, partner events, and user groups
Become a Nordic domain subject matter expert for a small number of solutions
Extensive experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture, or equivalent supporting enterprise accounts
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels
Ability to interpret customer business problems and technical issues and effectively explain how a solution will align with customer needs or requirements
Knowledge of cloud services, particularly Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and delivery models like private cloud and hybrid Cloud, as well as cloud management and automation
Knowledge of and skills in infrastructure and cloud solutions from Red Hat, the open source community, or competitors, ideally Linux, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat Virtualization, or Ansible by Red Hat
Knowledge of enterprise solutions and architectures, e.g., cloud, big data, virtualization, storage, IT automation, identity management, containers clustering, and high availability
Willingness to travel up to 50%
Fluent written and verbal language skills in English and Danish
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications are a plus
Experience with Linux and UNIX system administration is a plus
