The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join us in Oslo, Norway. In this role, you will work closely with our sales teams and partners to analyze customer business and technical needs to develop and propose solutions to create efficiency and solve problems. You’ll focus on bringing value to our customers through the best solutions from across the Red Hat portfolio with an emphasis on application development and integration side of DevOps. You should have excellent communication and people skills, as you will be a crucial part of the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you should ideally have a balance of technical expertise and business understanding with a passion for open source. You should also be passionate about the possibilities of new technologies, enjoy solving problems, and be great at establishing good working relationships with both customers and partners. You may be an experienced presales professional, a consultant, or even have a background as a technical engineer or an architect. This role requires occasional travel (0-30%), sometimes to locations outside of Norway.
Primary job responsibilities
Cooperate closely with the sales and technical delivery teams to help customers invest wisely in the best solutions from the Red Hat portfolio of offerings
Develop relationships with key stakeholders with our customers and partners
Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing customer needs
Run or support technical enablement events
Be part of and arrange speaking engagements at industry conferences, partner events, and user groups
Travel on occasions (0-30%) as necessary
Experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture, or equivalent role supporting enterprise customers
Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to develop relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels
Ability to interpret customer business problems and technical issues and effectively explain how a specific solution aligns with the customer needs or requirements
Knowledge of today's common IT infrastructure, cloud, application services and delivery models, as well as cloud management and automation
Curious and passionate about technology and about the ways in which technology helps businesses
Fluent written and verbal language skills in Norwegian and English
Knowledge of the Red Hat portfolio, application development tools, integration software, Linux and Unix system administration is a plus
