Job summary

The Red Hat Global Finance Analytics team is looking for an Analytics Consulting Lead to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of new financial analytics capabilities into the business. You will serve as a point of contact between the core data science team and our business stakeholders. This position will give you the opportunity combine your foundation in analytics, business knowledge, and communication skills to deliver analytics at scale across Red Hat. With a focus on realization, your primary objective is to drive adoption and data-oriented decision-making across our stakeholder community. As an Analytics Consulting Lead, you will become part of a global team of high-performing data scientists. You’ll need to be bright, energetic, and motivated with solid technical skills and business knowledge to help us build the next generation of data-oriented decision-making at Red Hat.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of advanced analytics output to the broader organization in partnership with the core data science teams and program management

  • Work closely with stakeholders to turn business problems into analytical projects, translated requirements, and solutions

  • Serve as the primary analytical point of contact to the business, supporting the launch, roll out, training, and ongoing support of new analytics assets

  • Support creation of project communication and documentation, help to translate complex findings and results into a compelling business narrative

  • Partner on the creation of dashboards and reports that will provide ongoing insight to business stakeholders

Required skills

  • Advanced degree in analytics, statistics, or a quantitative field

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • Experience working with or in software or technology companies

  • Experience working with data science or analytics teams

  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects

  • Solid relationship management skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Motivated with a sense of personal accountability

  • Energetic and detail-oriented with teamwork skills

  • Excellent written, oral, and technical communication skills

The following technical skills are required:

  • Basic programming skills in SQL, Python, R, and Plotly

  • Experience using Jupyter and RStudio

  • Basic understanding of (SFDC) and reporting in SFDC

  • Experience in development of data products in Tableau

  • Experience in relational database systems like SQL Server, Redshift, Oracle, Big Query, etc.
