Job summary

The Red Hat Finance team is looking for an Analytics Program Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will help implement data science and advanced analytics output into the business. You will be responsible for building and delivering the overall plan and roll out of new financial analytics capabilities into the organization. You will serve as a strategic business partner, helping to get buy in on the vision and guiding project adoption throughout Red Hat. You’ll need to be persuasive with a keen ability to plan and realize large-scale cross-functional projects. This role will give you the ability to combine your background in analytics and consulting to make organization-wide impact. As an Analytics Program Manager, you will join a global team of high-performing data scientists. You’ll need to be bright, energetic, and motivated with solid technical skills and business knowledge to help us build the next generation of data-driven decision making at Red Hat.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the overall delivery of a program for a suite of advanced analytics

  • Own the end-to-end plan, coordinate releases, and rollout new analytics to the broader teams in partnership with the core data science team and analytics consulting leads

  • Deliver projects at scale, coordinate across teams, and manage project timelines and deliverables

  • Serve as a strategic business partner and key influencer, working cross-functionally to accelerate project deliverables and adoption

  • Work closely with stakeholders to turn business problems into analytical projects, translated requirements, and solutions

  • Own the measurement strategy, both around adoption and for tying analytics programs to business outcomes

Required skills

  • MBA or advanced degree in analytics, statistics, or a quantitative field

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • Experience working in or with software or technology companies

  • Experience managing a team

  • Experience working with data science or analytics teams

  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects

  • Solid relationship management and persuasion skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Motivated with a sense of personal accountability

  • Energetic and detail-oriented with teamwork skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

The following technical skills are required:

  • Experience in Tableau and with rolling out large scale deployments

  • Basic programming skills in SQL, Python, R, and Plotly

  • Experience using Jupyter and RStudio

  • Basic understanding of (SFDC) and reporting in SFDC

  • Experience in relational database systems like SQL Server, Redshift, Oracle, Big Query, etc.
