The Red Hat Portfolio Field Enablement team is looking for an experienced Customer Advocacy Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will manage our early-stage customer advocacy program, the Red Hat Accelerators. You will be an integral part of the Portfolio Engagement Programs team, responsible for managing the Accelerators program operations and expansion. Unlike traditional open source upstream community management, your primary responsibilities will be to engage with our downstream community of enterprise customers around Red Hat’s commercial enterprise offerings and technologies, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, and more. You'll work directly with our geographically distributed product teams to engage the advocate community. In addition to onboarding new accelerators, you will also develop and coordinate ongoing program activities, websites, and operations. You'll be expected to develop and nurture key relationships with the community of technical practitioners, while identifying and looking after the stand-out advocacy leaders within the community. You will also build program awareness through the creation and delivery of slideware presentations to both internal and external audiences. As a Customer Advocacy Manager, you’ll be expected to have experience with customer advocacy, program management, and community engagement in order to ensure operational effectiveness and meet growth plans.
Primary job responsibilities
Manage and coordinate complex, multi-faceted program
Engage over video conferencing and sometimes face-to-face with our customer community on a regular basis
Oversee aspects of new and existing program projects from start to finish
Develop and maintain program plans, schedule, and engagement for multiple milestones and deadlines
Develop and execute program awareness and evangelism plans
Develop and deliver slideware presentations to internal and external public audiences
Develop and nurture relationships with key internal stakeholders, while fostering collaboration, trust, and accountability
Identify risks, issues, and problems in program plans, processes, and operations
Develop detailed recovery, mitigation, and scalability plans
Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
3-5+ years of experience in customer advocacy, program management, or community engagement
Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, internationally distributed environment and effectively use traditional and virtual communication tools
Experience with multiple program and customer engagement process methodologies, tools, and systems
Working knowledge of open source software and Linux is a plus
Experience with container, virtualization, and cloud technologies is a plus
