Job summary

The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a People operations Coordinator to join us in Raleigh, NC for a 6 month contract with opportunity to convert to permanent one. In this role, you will support all recruiting efforts, including scheduling and coordinating candidate meetings with hiring managers throughout the company, maintaining our applicant tracking system, managing the North American (NA) onboarding process, and other projects as assigned. You'll also assist with planning and hosting of large meetings for HR and of internal company sponsored events. As a People Operations Coordinator, you’ll need to be able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Coordinate interviews for NA and Latin America (LATAM) following standardized processes, helping the Talent Acquisition (TA) team to problem-solve when needed

  • Serve as the main point of contact for candidates, recruiters, new hires, and Centers of Excellence (CoEs)

  • Manage candidate reimbursement for interview travel expenses

  • Create and send offer letters and contracts to new hires in NA and LATAM

  • Partner with other members of the People team to ensure smooth integration of new hires into the company

  • Support TA team’s projects on a global basis by identifying and documenting existing team processes, researching and reporting on industry best practices, and carrying out project tasks

  • Support Global Mobility processes by creating business visa letters, international transfers, and I9 verification

  • Support New Hire Orientation as an I9 verification expert; process I9 verification forms for new hires and reverify I9 forms when needed for existing hires

Required skills

  • 1+ year(s) of experience in HR; experience working in recruiting support or operations is a plus

  • Bilingual speaker; Spanish and English or Portuguese and English are a plus

  • High attention to detail

  • Customer focus

  • Ability to learn new processes and adjust to change

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Excellent time management skills
