Job summary

The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a Program Coordinator to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work within a cross-functional program structure aligned to deliver Workday, a Payroll Transformation and a change to our time management capabilities. You’ll work as part of the Cross Functional Program Office, which is focused on governance, change management, communications, project management, vendor management, and significant stakeholder management activities. You’ll work with a program director, program office lead, payroll project manager, communications lead, and other workstream leads. You’ll contribute essential support for the program team of a very dynamic and highly complex project. You’ll coordinate project meetings, support progress and status reporting, capture meeting notes, manage actions, risks, and issues logs, manage communications, support stakeholder assessments, and generally provide additional support to project teams during periods of high workload or tight deadlines. You’ll need to be motivated to engage with the program team, workstream leads, and key stakeholders. You’ll also need to be agile in response to changes and needs of various stakeholders and analytical in identifying risks, opportunities, and dependencies. As a Program Coordinator, you’ll need to have good communication skills, as you will collaborate with these various stakeholders. Finally, you’ll need to have foundational project management skills in order to support teams throughout all project phases.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Design and build needed project deliverables like project roadmaps, project plans, change impact assessments, and change and communications plans

  • Support cross-functional meetings, capture notes, update project documents, and support general project reporting

  • Prepare drafts of executive-level presentations for C-Suite and other senior leaders

  • Plan, prioritize, schedule, manage, and ensure delivery of critical tasks, specific events, and project activities

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and timely updates to stakeholders, meeting quality standards and expectations

  • Apply project management and workflow tools to monitor and update schedules as needed

  • Contribute to development of business cases, project planning, change management planning, and governance preparation

  • Manage expectations of and provide timely updates on projects to stakeholders

  • Escalate resource concerns and project risks to appropriate stakeholders including solutions options for consideration

  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to Red Hat or customer-specific

  • Use an open and collaborative approach to working with all stakeholders

Required skills

  • 4+ years of relevant project management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Solid planning and organizational skills; attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks at once

  • Ability to analyze, prioritize requests, and provide meaningful observations

  • Ability to work on your own without direct oversight of work

  • Experience creating presentations for senior levels of leadership

  • Experience working in areas like project management, project support, change management, communications, or business analysis

  • Experience working with individuals in business, creative, and technical roles

  • Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams

  • Solid written and verbal communications skills

  • Energized by a variety of working relationships

  • Open to change and flexible in style

  • Professional approach, global mindset, and customer focus

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, G Suite, and other productivity apps
