RedHat Sales Manager, Red Hat Training and Certification in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job summary

The Red Hat North America (NA) Training and Certification team is looking for a Sales Manager to join us. In this role, you will manage a team of Education Sales professionals and be accountable for the financial and customer success of the NA Training business in the Commercial space. You will need to build solid relationships and work collaboratively with a variety of internal stakeholders and partners to guide the business. You will be required to have an excellent understanding of the complexities of IT Training or Services business and have an incredibly solid business or financial acumen. Preferred metropolitan areas where the role can be located are Raleigh, NC, and Washington, D.C., but remote candidates will also be considered. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue and bookings goals

  • Provide regular forecasts of financial data and take necessary action to ensure sales targets are achieved

  • Hire, motivate, coach, and mentor the sales team to both grow existing accounts and capture new business throughout the region; develop effective sales strategies to ensure 100% achievement

  • Create and deliver a learning subscription renewal process

  • Actively participate and provide feedback on emerging Red Hat Training products and technologies

  • Collaborate closely with peers in other geos and with other Red Hat sales managers in NA

  • Participate in closing deals at key accounts and implementing business initiatives for future success within the region

Required skills

  • 3+ years of leadership responsibility with a software, training, or services sales organization; demonstrated success in managing a team of sales professionals

  • Record of exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets

  • 5+ years of experience in building sales processes and solutions selling strategies in the services space

  • Solid planning, financial, and analytical skills; proven ability to apply these skills with business knowledge to complex situations with competing priorities

  • Bachelor's degree or MBA in business administration, marketing, or a technical discipline

  • Solid relationship building skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%
