The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) Continuous Improvement team is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing incremental business improvements processes through strategic business improvements analyses, while aiming at reaching improved service levels, lower costs, or improved profitability for customers and organizations. You will be given the opportunity to engage all IT service owners to assist in the improvement of processes. You’ll be required to possess a high degree of direction and to think and act in an autonomous and motivated fashion while also staying coordinated with and connected to all improvement efforts of the team. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will participate as a contributor in and provide analytical support for major projects and potentially lead smaller, well-defined projects. You will also support the development and delivery of training and communications for implemented projects and initiatives.
Primary job responsibilities
Provide project level analyses and produce required project analysis documentation
Identify improvement opportunities, both proactive and reactive
Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements
Assess business processes and system inefficiencies
Identify ways in which adoption and customer satisfaction can be increased
Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
Create and maintain meeting minutes and schedules and project summaries and updates
Meet with a project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines
Assist with the development and maintenance of process improvement infrastructure; assist other team members when needed
Partner with service owners to shift new support burdens over to Global Engineering Services (GES); create statements of work (SOWs) and responsibility assignment matrix (RACI) for support to be shifted
Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs
Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up-to-date on project results
Bachelor's degree in IT or business field
Excellent analytical skills and a sense of urgency
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Experience with process mapping
5+ years of work experience in a similar position
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification, or a solid knowledge of ITIL principles
Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology
Organized with the ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at once
Exceptional verbal and written skills in English
Experience with and passion for implementing change and continual improvement
Demonstrated fluency in business processes and process differentiation
Ability to analyze and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes
