Red Hat Senior Revenue Financial Analyst in Raleigh, North Carolina

About the job

Increase productivity in financial reporting and forecasting via tools that will integrate with the financial and operational tools used by the company. Assist with fiscal year planning and monthly financial forecasting for subscription and consolidated revenue.

*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, Inc. office in Raleigh, NC.

What you will do

  • Partner with GEO Revenue Accounting teams to review financial and transactional results and assess potential impact on financial forecast.

  • Provide support to the Revenue Finance Manager for ad hoc requests and preparation of financial analysis for executives as requested.

  • Develop an understanding of Red Hat’s global business model to identify financial trends and provide value-added analysis.

  • Improve financial status by analyzing revenue, monitoring variances, identifying trends, recommending actions to management.

  • Prepare financial reporting and analysis dashboards in Tableau using Python scripts, SQL, OneStream.

  • Analyze global performance, including financial and other revenue KPIs, in alignment with business finance and regional revenue accounting teams.

  • Prepare and conduct presentations to management demonstrating company revenue performance and trends.

The salary range for this position is $81,578 - $119,830/ year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role.

  • Must have three (3) years of experience with: preparing financial forecasts and financial plans; explaining variance to actuals, variance to budget, and variance to previous forecast(s) to finance management and budget owners; and functions in Excel, including V-Lookups, H-Lookups, SumIf Statements, Nested If Statements, and Index Match.

  • Must have two (2) years of experience with: applied accounting concepts and core financial statements; and writing queries in Standard Query Language (SQL).

  • Must have six (6) months of experience modifying code in Python coding language.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
