Red Hat Application Platform Sales Specialist Telco in Remote, Colorado

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Application Platform Sales Specialist to join us. In this role, you will support Red Hat's strategy by enabling customers to define, develop, and deploy their next-generation middleware strategies. You'll be responsible for building strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders to promote our portfolio of middleware solutions, including application development, application and service hosting, business rules management, content aggregation, data federation, and service integration on-site or in the cloud. As an Application Platform Sales Specialist, you'll need to have experience selling solutions within major telecommunications accounts. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business preferably in the mid-west or west coast.

What you will do

  • Work with the telco and sales teams to plan the overall middleware strategy within a set of defined accounts

  • Guide the customers from their initial adoption of basic application server and hybrid cloud technology and grow the account to include rules engines, business process management (BPM) platforms, enterprise service buses (ESBs), enterprise messaging, portals, etc.

  • Gain the trust of senior information technology (IT) and business executives within key accounts, creating long-term partnerships

  • Work with enterprise sales teams to ensure that Red Hat Middleware and related solutions become the first choice for our strategic customers

  • Create and sustain strategic customer relationships

  • Develop and close sustainable revenue across technologies

  • Guide the extended Sales team to maximize revenue growth

  • Accurately forecast and close sales in alignment with company goals

What you will bring

  • 8+ years of experience in a solutions sales role

  • 4+ years of experience focused on enterprise middleware like Red Hat Middleware, IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, MuleSoft, or TIBCO

  • Experience with telecommunications operations support systems (OSS) and business support systems (BSS)

  • Background in consultative customer engagement with a middleware provider or on the sales team of a middleware reseller

  • Broad technical experience with enterprise middleware technologies

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives at large firms

  • Ability to sell solutions in a multi-offering environment

  • Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers

  • Balance of strategic and tactical skills

  • Master's degree or equivalent is a plus

The salary range for this position is 234,000 - 387000 OTE (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
