RedHat Senior Software Engineer - Logging and Session Recording in Remote, Czech Republic

The Red Hat Identity Management Engineering team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with C programming experience to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will join diverse teams of talented individuals working on projects related to the identity management ecosystem in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), session recording (including TLOG and cockpit session recording), and logging technologies like Elasticsearch, Rsyslog, or Kibana. You'll use both your technical skills, mainly with the C programming language, and your soft skills when working with engineers and open source community members of these projects. This is a great opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest developers in the open source industry.
Primary job responsibilities
Work on the development, productization, and maintenance of the series of projects under the Scribery umbrella, mainly using TLOG and aushape
Work with ViaQ, Red Hat OpenShift, and Kubernetes community to deliver the end-to-end logging and session recording solutions that would allow correlation of the logs and terminal sessions output across different systems in complex multi-node environments like Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Virtualization, and Red Hat OpenShift
Design and work on integration of Red Hat's session recording and common logging projects
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field
C development experience
Ability and experience designing complex multi-component, multi-system solutions
Ability to work as part of a team and establish trusted relationships
Knowledge of the Linux operating system and its development tools; any Linux distribution is acceptable
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
Desire to learn and solve challenging problems
The following are considered a plus:
Familiarity with Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift
Familiarity with the ELK, EFK, or ERK stacks or similar logging technologies
Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) and related frameworks
Familiarity with agile and scrum practices
