Promote sharing and adoption of our contemporary Red Hat Middleware technology. The Red Hat Public Sector Sales team is looking for a Sales Specialist to join us. In this role, you will work with our largest enterprise accounts to enable customers to define, develop, and deploy their modern middleware strategies. You'll build strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders. As a Sales Specialist, you will endorse our portfolio of middleware solutions, including application development, application and service hosting, mobile, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), business rules management, business process management (BPM), content aggregation, data federation, and service integration on-site or in the cloud. This position is open to internal candidates only. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities
Work with the Public Sector Sales team to plan the middleware strategy within a set of defined accounts
Guide the customer from their initial adoption of basic application server technology and grow the account to include rules engines, BPM platforms, enterprise service bus (ESB), enterprise messaging, portals, etc.
Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key accounts to create long-term partnerships
Ensure that Red Hat Middleware solutions become the first choice for our strategic customers
2+ years of experience in a solutions sales role
2+ years of experience focused on enterprise middleware like Red Hat Middleware, IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, Tibco, etc.
Background in consultative customer engagement with a middleware software provider
Technical experience with enterprise middleware technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives at large companies
Ability to sell solutions in a multiproduct environment
Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers
Ability to maintain a balance of strategic and tactical skills
