Red Hat Middleware Sales Specialist in Remote, Missouri

Promote the sharing and adoption of Red Hat's application platform solutions. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Application Platform Sales Specialist to join us. In this role, you will support Red Hat's strategy by enabling customers to define, develop, and deploy their next-generation agile middleware strategies. You'll be responsible for building strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders to promote our portfolio of middleware solutions, including application development, API Management, business rules management, business process management (BPM), content aggregation, data federation, and service integration on-site or in the cloud. As an Application Platform Sales Specialist, you'll need to have experience selling solutions within Fortune 500 accounts. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities
Work with the enterprise sales teams to plan the overall middleware strategy within a set of defined accounts
Guide the customer from their initial adoption of basic application server and hybrid cloud technology and grow the account to include rules engines, BPM platforms, microservices, enterprise messaging, API Management, and development frameworks
Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key accounts and create long-term partnerships
Work with enterprise sales teams to ensure that Red Hat Middleware and related solutions become the first choice for our strategic customers
8+ years of experience in a solutions sales role
4+ years of experience focused on enterprise middleware like Red Hat Middleware, IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, MuleSoft, TIBCO, and Apigee
Background in consultative customer engagement with a middleware provider or on the sales team of a middleware reseller
Broad technical experience with enterprise middleware technologies
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives at large firms
Ability to sell solutions in a multiproduct environment
Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers
Balance of strategic and tactical skills
Master's degree or equivalent is a plus
