Job summary

The Red Hat Fuse team is looking for a Software Engineer with a passion for software processes and agile methodologies to join our growing Engineering team in Poland. In this role, you’ll have an opportunity to work on open source technologies with innovative teams in a fun and engaging workplace. You will help to implement, execute, and follow an agile methodology within the wider Engineering team by guiding experienced Agile teams to follow scrum and kanban methodologies. You’ll need to be technically aware of the challenges that the team faces and help out where and when necessary. This position will give you an opportunity to become familiar with a diverse range of technologies, including Red Hat OpenShift, container technologies, Kubernetes, Golang, Java, and many others. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Serve as an Agile Practitioner for distributed teams, coach the teams on agile values and practices, and encourage them to continuously improve

  • Establish working partnerships across teams and organizations to help your associates in the process of adopting agile methodologies

  • Work closely with the members of our Engineering, Operations, Quality Engineering (QE), Documentation, and Product Management teams

  • Be responsible for the planning, realization, and delivery of communicated goals

  • Report upwards to the Engineering Management team

  • Ensure that Agile teams are aligned with the expectations of our stakeholders

  • Become an advocate and evangelist for Red Hat Fuse

Required skills

  • Practical experience working as a scrum master, product owner, or scrum coach

  • Practical experience with the delivery of software engineering projects in a technical capacity

  • Experience working in a software development capacity as a software engineer with a focus on Java, Go, or related technologies

  • Ability to serve as a facilitator for team-based discussions and to work well within geographically-distributed teams

  • Technical background; good understanding of technical requirements and the ability to communicate with authorities at a technical level

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, raise the technical skills of your team, and facilitate technical conversations

  • Desire to constantly raise the skills of your team and bring new perspectives to the team

  • Keen interest in open source and in building communities

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills; ability to convey your work and the work of your team to a wide audience
