The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect for Red Hat OpenShift and Cloud Native to join us in Singapore covering ASEAN, Hong Kong, and Taiwan region. In this role, you will provide pre-sales support for Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Middleware, and DevOps solutions in key enterprise accounts, government agencies, and service provider partners. You'll work with customers both onsite and remotely to build trust and confidence in Red Hat solutions via discovery sessions, solution practical workshops and complex demonstrations. You will also design and deliver evaluations, proofs of concepts, and pilots of our offerings, and play a crucial role in bringing together internal cross-functional teams to satisfy our most challenging customers. As a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect, you'll serve as the customer's advocate to build the best solutions and ensure they are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way. We'll need you to have an excellent working knowledge of modern application development practices, modern middleware platforms, PaaS architectures, their supporting infrastructures, DevOps and associated tools and technologies.
Primary job responsibilities
Based on customer engagements, perform a discovery of needs, find out the most effective methods of support, close the sales of proposed projects, and document proofs of concepts
Deliver successful Middleware, PaaS, and DevOps workshops for small to medium teams of both technical and non-technical backgrounds that shape and influence the customer’s use cases, and architect design decisions
Deliver and support high-quality proofs of concepts and pilots with local teams that increase customers' confidence in our offerings
Demonstrate innovative thinking in modern application development practices by evangelizing and speaking at customer, partner events and modern conferences
5-10 years of experience in pre-sales
2+ years of experience with the latest application development technologies and DevOps implementation practices using container technologies like Docker, CRI-O, Kubernetes
3+ years of experience in middleware solutions like SOA, BPM, MQ and API management
Experience and knowledge of Java and JEE technologies like JBoss EAP, Tomcat, IBM Websphere, and Oracle Weblogic for application deployment and operations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with extensive experience presenting to IT managers and C-level executives at large firms
Solutions sales mentality in an environment with multiple products and services
Willingness to travel up to 50%
Experience with the design and large-scale deployment of cloud-native and microservices architectures is a plus
Experience with the application life cycle in traditional environments is an advantage
