Red Hat Senior Technical Product Manager - Red Hat Application Developers (EMEA) in Waterford, Ireland

The Red Hat Application Developers Business Unit is currently in search of an experienced Senior Technical Product Manager to contribute to the development of cutting-edge developer tools, facilitating an exceptional developer experience for the creation of enterprise AI applications. As a pivotal member of the team, you will spearhead the product's inception and growth stages, shaping the trajectory of developer tools to significantly enhance productivity. This role is to be based in Waterford or anywhere where we have an EMEA office.

What you will do

  • Drive roadmap and program execution by working directly with product and engineering teams across the product portfolio to ensure the solution provides value to the user

  • Define product vision, features, goals, and measurable business outcomes

  • Translate business requirements into technical user stories with acceptance criteria

  • Requirement gathering and product backlog management

  • Responsible for driving the growth of product (strategy and KPIs)

  • Define and use metrics/KPIs to measure the success and health of products and the impact of business outcomes.In some cases, responsible for pricing and packaging in consultation with other business units within Red Hat

  • Ensure key stakeholders are informed and communicate to field /customers future vision & direction

  • Align strategic and tactical roadmaps with Red Hat’s strategic objectives

  • Accountable for the evangelism of product direction to customers, engineering, field, and other product teams

  • Own cross-organizational alignment and agreement on the translation of strategy to action plans

What you will bring

  • Experience with agile environments, methodologies, and best practices

  • Previous experience in product management or equivalent product development experience (such as: Product Owner/Project Manager or Business Analyst role)

  • Industry-specific experience (Kubernetes, Containers, developer tools, AI, developer productivity technologies, open source technologies and business models)

  • Experience using/deploying software products and familiarity with Jira or a similar tool

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), IBM Cloud or similar cloud or application management solutions.

  • Business and market understanding: You have a good understanding of your market and business conditions better than anyone and you excel at integrating this information into your strategies and roadmap.

  • Communication and collaboration skills - Provide regular updates with statuses on objectives, OKRs, project timelines, priorities, and roadmaps

  • Understanding the overall lifecycle of products and software to assist with the definition, scope, and planning of features.

  • Product Analysis experience - Any advisory/consultancy role where you have been continuously exposed to customers with different needs and pain points.

  • Stakeholder management - manage relationships with multiple stakeholders (Product Management, Product Marketing Management, Technical Marketing Management, Sales, Architecture, Support (CEE), Customers, Partners, and Engineering.
