Join the Red Hat Portfolio Product Marketing team in implementing the early phase of the go-to-market strategy for the next generation of solutions and cross-Red Hat initiatives. The Red Hat Portfolio Product Marketing team is looking for a Principal Product Marketing Manager to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will be part of our Emerging Technologies team focusing on future technologies and solutions around artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), edge computing, security, cloud infrastructure, and other related areas. You’ll focus on the security implications of emerging technologies for business and IT decision-makers. You’ll work closely with the vertical marketing teams and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As a Principal Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for thought leadership content that is anchored in market research, as well as for messaging to internal and external audiences, field enablement, content marketing support, and other initiatives as needed. You’ll need to work successfully across all areas of the organization to build consensus around the business and future-oriented security narrative. You’ll also need to have a balance of technical and business insight with marketing expertise. You'll need to be passionate about creating compelling stories regarding technology’s impact on business and to have the domain knowledge of security practices related to risk management and mitigation, data governance, and data compliance. You should have experience with emerging technologies like the internet of things (IoT), AI and ML, blockchain, and advanced analytics.
Primary job responsibilities
Conduct primary research in the global market to identify security trends and market opportunities to have an impact on our position among emerging technologies
Work closely with analyst relations to take advantage of third-party expertise and research
Serve as the subject matter expert for security thought leadership as it pertains to the business and executive perspectives
Develop and guide content on security practices for emerging technologies to be used by the product marketing team and area experts like the CTO, as well as across editorial and thought leadership and social media where the content will be used in PR, customer, and partner engagement
Work with strategic partners to align messaging and solutions
Create materials that can be used by all relevant partners, including channel partners and independent software vendors (ISVs), for their marketing efforts
Coordinate with various marketing teams, including field marketing, corporate communications and PR, and partner marketing teams to promote Red Hat’s vision for security and emerging technologies
Guide enablement and training activities for sales, presales, professional services, and partners
Support customer meetings
Coordinate cross-organizational teams; ensure that teams are synchronized concerning messaging, deliverables, and communications
7+ years product marketing experience within the technology, or software industries
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or computer science
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate technical terms and details into customer language and into compelling stories for business and IT leaders
Proven experience in digital marketing, including web content, blog posts, social media, and search marketing
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Proven success working in a cross-matrixed organization, knowledge of how to socialize ideas, gain support across teams, and have an impact
Solid interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and ability to foster and maintain relationships across multiple team
Ability to stay proactive
