The Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Product Marketing team is looking for an experienced Market Research Analyst to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will help inspire and shape decisions for product strategy, positioning, and messaging and overall go-to-market strategy. You’ll research customer product usage, market, and technology trends, thought leadership topics, IT spending and priorities, and more. You will spearhead the market research program, collaborating closely with product management, product marketing, corporate marketing, and other data science teams. You’ll develop and deliver customer and market insights using quantitative and qualitative research methods, using internal tools and analysis as well as third-party vendors for online surveys, focus groups, or in-depth interviews. As a Market Research Analyst, you’ll need to be able to analyze data using statistical tests, visualize and present your findings, and provide actionable insights. In addition to conducting research of your own, you will manage a research enablement platform, aiding product marketing teams with ad hoc research projects as well as all other aspects of insights practice management including communications, planning, and knowledge management.
Primary job responsibilities
Develop, manage, and present the product market research calendar
Perform customer and market research
Gather data, perform analysis, and provide actionable insights
Devise and evaluate methods for collecting data, including online surveys, questionnaires, and polls
Perform online surveys and interviews
Analyze and visually present data
Perform ad hoc data analyses
Evaluate and retain agencies and manage agency relationships
5+ years of experience performing market research and data analysis
Experience using quantitative methods (e.g., ANOVA and chi-square) to explore and answer research questions using survey data
Experience working at a large enterprise technology company
Understanding of enterprise technology and its application to solve customer challenges
Understanding of research design, i.e., knowing when to use a survey, in-depth interviews, focus groups, or mixed methods
Ability to convert complex data and findings into understandable, visual reports and provide analysis, consultation, and actionable insights
