The Red Hat Business team is looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and delivering technical marketing assets that inspire technical audiences to purchase or motivate others to purchase Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). You'll focus your efforts toward blogs, videos, and demos that are viewed by prospective customers. You may also be required to help in more specialized efforts, like helping close a sale for a specific customer. As a Technical Product Marketing Manager, you will have significant technical sales enablement responsibility, including developing technical training materials, demos, and sales tools that are used by solutions architects, consultants, and partner presales teams. You'll also help shape the direction of Red Hat Enterprise Linux by internally communicating requirements and opportunities learned through customer interactions.
Primary job responsibilities
Create and deliver external content like demos, blogs, tweets, how-to videos, papers, articles, etc.
Create and deliver internal content like technical selling materials
Coordinate other resources across Red Hat to create and deliver content as needed
Deliver impactful presentations at key industry and Red Hat events to relevant audiences
Train solutions architects and other technical field associates, as well as partner technical associates, on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and other associated offerings
Conduct competitive analysis of both commercial offerings and open source projects that compete against Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Communicate requirements and improvement opportunities for the offering to relevant offering stakeholders like the Product Management and Engineering teams
Extensive technical background (ideally 8-10 years of software industry experience) with expertise in Linux, public cloud tools like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure), virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere or Red Hat Virtualization, and system management
Proven understanding of what it takes to motivate technical audiences and an ability to translate that understanding into impactful implementation that converts the awareness and preferences of prospective customers into revenue
Ability to create high-quality, compelling technical marketing content
Charismatic with excellent presentation skills; ability to energize and excite technical audiences
Record of success in a fast-moving technical environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in an persuasion-driven cross-functional environment
Experience deploying database workloads like with Oracle, MS SQL Server, and mySQL is a plus Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications like SAP is a plus
